Macao Light Rapid Transit Corporation, Limited (hereinafter referred to as the "MLM") understands the importance of the two failures of Taipa Line that occurred in September and October 2024. An emergency meeting was held recently with the train and systems supplier.
MLM values the safety and well-being of the passengers with utmost priority. Since the failures affected LRT operations, MLM has required the train and systems supplier to identify and clarify the causes of malfunction happened and to propose improvement measures to avoid similar issues.
MLM sincerely appreciates passengers for their patience and tolerance. Their cooperation with the on-site service team allowed our staff to divert the flow of people immediately, handle the malfunctioned trains, conduct emergency inspections, and restore services as quickly as possible after ensuring system safety.
The Macao LRT service team will continue to optimize its work and continue to provide passengers with a high-quality ride experience.
