Macao LRT Barra Station to open soon, activities to welcome passengers to experience sea-crossing trains on the opening day

The service of Macao LRT Taipa Line will extend to Barra Station on 8 December. On the opening day, activities will be held at Barra Station to welcome passengers. The first sea-crossing train will depart from Barra Station at 6:30 p.m. Passengers who want to get on the first train can visit early and wait at Exit A of Barra Station, please follow the station staff's instructions for entering the gate and getting on the train. The first see-crossing train arriving at Barra Station will depart from the Jockey Club Station at 6:30 a.m. on the same day.
 
From 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on the opening day, passengers who depart at Barra Station and bound for the Taipa Ferry Terminal Station will receive a souvenir. Souvenirs are available while stocks last. During the period between 8 to 10 December, a commemorative ticket counter will be set up at Barra Station to offer commemorative ticket sets with respective topics for the opening of Barra Station and Taipa Line. Each set of commemorative tickets is priced at MOP$180. Tickets are available while stock lasts. (Please note that all activities will be held at Barra Station.)
 
Meanwhile, as the Macao Light Rapid Transit Corporation, Limited (MLM) gradually takes over the operation and maintenance work of the LRT, all LRT frontline staff will change their uniforms with the logo and words of MLM on the opening day of the Barra Station.
 
In conjunction with the extension service of the LRT Taipa Line to Barra Station, the LRT will also adjust its service hours and increase its frequency in the hope of providing more travel convenience to the public and tourists. Starting from 8 December, LRT operating hours will be from 6:30 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and from 6:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, with a 7.5 to 10-minutes intervals. Train intervals will be adjusted timely depending on the actual passenger flow.
