MLM visits University of Macau to share industry developments and future prospects with students

With the aim of deepening higher education students’ interest in Macao’s public transport system and enhancing their understanding of how the local rail transport sector operates, the Macao Light Rapid Transit Corporation, Limited (hereinafter referred to as “MLM”) held, on February 4, at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Macau, a thematic lecture to present the development of the Macao LRT sector and the associated career opportunities.

During the lecture, MLM representatives gave a presentation on the current operational situation of the Macao LRT and the sector’s development dynamics. They discussed with students topics such as career development paths and skill requirements for various positions. It was also emphasized that the LRT, as an important part of Macao’s public transport system, has been experiencing growing demand for qualified professionals with the expansion of the network and technological advancements. Students were encouraged to align their specialties and interests with the future career opportunities in this sector.

This initiative saw strong student participation and was marked by a dynamic and enthusiastic atmosphere. In this way, MLM aims to build a communication bridge with students from Macao’s higher education institutions, enabling them to understand career development paths in the sector and providing useful references for individual career planning, with the goal of boosting the sector’s dynamism and contributing to sustainable future development.
