Macau Light Rapid Transit Corporation, Limited, Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government

2. Purpose

Macau Light Rapid Transit Corporation, Limited and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government are jointly launching the “M² Train — City Art Journey” Carriage Design Collection Project, under the theme of “Original Macau IP”. The initiative invites creators and residents to take part, bringing dazzling creativity to everyday travel and collectively shaping a moving landscape that reflects Macau’s cultural identity.

3. Event Information

Eligibility	Residents of the Macao SAR aged 18 or above
Category	Individual: Macao SAR residents aged 18 or above with full legal capacity (as of the application deadline). Organization: Legally established and operating entities in Macao, including corporate business owners, associations, or foundations, as well as non‑profit organizations. Group: Applications jointly submitted in group form by individuals or organizations, with no more than three members per group.
Submission Period	September 21 to October 20, 2026

*Entry Requirements	Each applicant may submit up to two works, and each must represent a distinct design concept. All submissions must be themed around “Original Macau IP”, showcasing Macau’s unique culture, history, customs, or urban identity. Designs must be applicable to both the interior and exterior of two‑car LRT train carriages. Submitted works must be original and unpublished. They may not be created using artificial intelligence tools, nor may they involve any deliberate plagiarism.	All application documents must be submitted in hard copy. Design drawings must also be submitted in electronic format, stored on a CD and submitted together. Files must include JPEG images with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi, as well as Adobe Illustrator vector source files.

4. Awards

1) A total of two winners will be selected across the three categories.

2) Each winning work will be awarded a prize of MOP 4,000 (US$4,000.00).

3) Winning designs will be produced as themed LRT trains and put into operation.

5. Submissio

Works must be submitted together with the application form, enclosed in an envelope (works must not be folded).
