Last Train Arrangements Before Typhoon No.8 is Hoisted
Train Service after Typhoon No.8 is Cancelled
Macao Light Rapid Transit Corporation, Limited (MLM) is committed to providing safe, stable and reliable rail transportation services while continuously improving its operational processes to enhance efficiency. Based on the experience gained from multiple safety inspections on tracks and removal of obstacles after typhoons, MLM has optimized the arrangements for the departure of the last train before the issuance of Typhoon No.8 or above, as well as the resumption of the first train service after the removal of the typhoon signal.

When Typhoon No.8 or above has not been issued by the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, train services across all LRT lines will be operated normally. When Typhoon No.8 or above is hoisted, all train services will be suspended. The last train on the Hengqin Line departing from Lotus Station towards Hengqin Station will leave approximately 10 minutes before the issuance of Typhoon No. 8. The last train on the Seac Pai Van Line departing from Union Hospital Station towards Seac Pai Van Station will leave approximately 15 minutes before the issuance of Typhoon No. 8, while the last trains departing from other starting stations will leave approximately 40 minutes before the issuance of Typhoon No. 8.

After Typhoon No.8 is removed, under normal circumstances, the LRT service on the Hengqin Line will resume immediately and the Seac Pai Van Line will resume approximately 20 minutes after. The LRT service on the Taipa Line will resume sequentially, with the first trains departing from Union Hospital Station (towards Ocean Station, approximately 5 minutes after), Lotus Station (towards Taipa Ferry Terminal Station, approximately 15 minutes after), and Taipa Ferry Terminal Station (towards Ocean Station, approximately 30 minutes after). For the LRT section beneath the lower deck of the Sai Van Bridge, trains will only be reopened to travel after the clearing of vehicle passage and the safety inspections conducted by MLM. Therefore, the first train from Barra Station to Taipa Ferry Terminal Station will depart approximately 40 minutes after Typhoon No. 8 is removed.

To ensure passenger safety, the departure times of the first train services may be adjusted based on the actual conditions of each section after inspections. If unforeseen situation occurs, MLM will issue a notification and release information to the public.

MLM reminds passengers to allow sufficient travel time during typhoons and to pay attention to MLM's website (www.mlm.com.mo), the Xiaohongshu page “Heng Chai (Ambassador of MLRT) @9875613683”, as well as news and information issued by MLM and government departments. Additionally, in case of special weather conditions such as thunderstorms, train service may be delayed to ensure passenger safety.
