A train of the LRT Taipa Line was failed between Ocean and Jockey Club Station, causing the LRT service between Ocean and Lotus Checkpoint Station was once interrupted.
Around 03:30 pm on 29th June, a train departing from Ocean Station towards Jockey Club was failed. Staff attempted to reactivate the train but failed, that the train was stranded on the track. Due to the incident, the LRT train service ran at 15 to 20-minute intervals.
The incident train was successfully reactivated at around 04:15 pm and returned to the Depot by manual mode, the LRT service was gradually resumed normal at 04:40 pm.
The cause for the incident is still under investigation and MLM will proceed with a detailed inspection for the incident train units. We apologies to all passengers for any inconvenience caused.
